In Shark Tank India, the entrepreneurs put all details about their business before the sharks. These details include “the details about the ideation”, “the background of the founders”, “the magnitude of the sales and services provided till date ” and “the details about the earlier investors, if any”.
The entrepreneurs then raise a pitch, where they ask the sharks to invest a particular amount of money against some equity. The sharks, examine the pitch and if satisfied, provide the investment. If they are not satisfied with the valuation made by the entrepreneur, they may decline to invest. In addition, both the parties can make couner offers to arrive at a deal.
The first session of Shark Tank India lasted from 20 December 2021 to 4 February 2022. The first season of Shark Tank India had received 62,000 aspirants from India, out of which 198 businesses were given a chance to pitch their ideas to the “sharks”. Out of 198 businesses, 67 businesses got deals this season on the show. In addition, other businesses also received an off-show investment, as revealed by Namita Thapar, a Shark at Shark Tank India.

The second season of the show aired from 3rd January. It witnessed the replacement of the shark Ashneer Grover by Amit Jain, and that of Ranvijay Singh, the host, by Rahul Dua.
