Meta owned famous messaging app WhatsApp has introduced a “WhatsApp Channel” feature to help people stay connected with their followers. This feature has come about an year after the app launched its community feature.
With WhatsApp channel, one can share information and updates with unlimited followers. The information can be in the form of texts, images, videos etc.
This feature is in many ways similar to the Channel feature of telegram, and it is going to increase the competition between the two messaging platforms.

In order to create a WhatsApp channel, you will have to follow the steps given below;
- Download the latest version of WhatsApp Business.
- Open the app and go to updates tab.
- Now create on + symbol, and then on “create channel” option and follow the onscreen steps.

- Now add description and logo to your channel.
- Now click on create channel and your channel will be created.
It is pertinent to mention here that “creating channel” feature is not available to all the people as of now. Only reputed people and companies get the feature to create their own channel. The others will get only “find channel” option on clicking on + icon as mentioned in step 3 above.
